White Limoncello Chocolate Cocktail. My friends on the east coast are shoveling snow while I’m over here in the Northwest with my door open to let the sunshine pour inside. This calls for a drink that brings us all together.
Ahhhhh. I know, right? Winter and summer come together to create this dreamy springy cup of comfort. Limoncello White Chocolate Cocktail – bright and lemony yet cozy and comforting. Perfect to serve right before the sun goes down over your Seattle patio or while sitting in front of your fireplace in Boston this weekend.
White Limoncello Chocolate Cocktail
Makes about 6 six-ounce servings.
- 2 cups whole milk or 1 1/2 cups for a thicker drink)
- 12 ounces white chocolate chips or grated white chocolate
- 1/2 – 1 cup limoncello (can use store-bought or make your own in a few days time)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional)
- Whoop Cream made with almond extract
- Slivered almonds
- Zest from a fresh lemon
In a double boiler (or a sturdy second pan or glass bowl that fits over a saucepan), place about an inch of water in the bottom pan. Place the top pan over it. Heat water to a boil then lower to medium heat.
Pour the whole milk into the double boiler (or top container) and begin to heat. Whisk often to prevent burning. Add white chocolate and continue whisking until white chocolate is fully melted.
Whisk in powdered sugar and limoncello. I recommend starting with half a cup & adding more if desired). When your cocktail is hot, pour into mugs and top with almond whipped cream then slivered almonds and lemon zest.
