Grace and Frankie Cheese Fondue
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons onion, grated (use a cheese grater)
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons Beau Monde seasoning
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
- 10 slices processed Swiss cheese slices
Melt butter in a saute pan. Cook onions in butter for a few minutes over medium-low temp. Stir in flour. Cook for a few more minutes. Unwrap cheese slices. Turn up the heat to about medium-high and add remaining ingredients while stirring occasionally. Fondue is ready when the cheese is completely melted.
Transfer to god-awful and amazing and god-awful fondue pot. Serve hot & melty with warm french bread pieces or tasty crackers.
