If you’re looking for that special little something to welcome guests to your next party, these Mini Baileys Irish Cream Shakes are just the thing. And, if you need a good excuse to buy some of those red & white paper straws that are so very popular on Pinterest and if you happen to be looking for a good reason to keep that arched candle holder that holds a gazillion tea lights then these adorable mini shakes are here to save the day.
Mini Baileys Irish Cream Shakes
- 3 cups ice
- 4 cups lukewarm water
- 2 cups Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 3-4 cups Dreyer’s Slow-Churned Coffee Ice Cream
First, place ice in a blender and cover with warm water.
Blend until slushy. I use my tamper a lot for this but if you don’t have one, just stop the blender every once & a while to shift the ice around so it doesn’t get too stuck.
Drain the water out as much as you can.
Pour Baileys Irish Cream over the ice.
Add coffee ice cream. Blend slowly, raising speed only as needed, until all ingredients come together.
I use Dreyer’s Slow Churned because it has great flavor and has been slow-churned. Ice cream that is not slow-churned is airy and would become frothy in the shake. I like a really great shake – not a frothy mess. I mean, if you’re going to splurge, you should enjoy it, right?
If you would like to make non-alcoholic shakes, just substitute the Baileys with store-bought Starbucks Frappuccino.
