Tailgate Ham Sliders are the perfect recipe for your party and they start with the world’s most delicious dinner rolls.
Tailgate Ham Sandwiches
Makes 12 sliders.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 12 King’s Hawaiian Rolls
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup fresh chives, chopped
- 1 1/2 pounds Black Forest sliced or shredded ham (not honey ham)
- 12 Swiss, provolone, or gruyere cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of dried onion flakes
- 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
Keep the rolls together; but, slice all 12 rolls in half.
Spread the bottoms of the rolls with the cream cheese, then sprinkle with the chives, salt, & pepper.
Next, every layer the ham and then the cheese.
Place the top buns back on top. Then place the sliders in a baking dish.
Mix the butter, Worcestershire. onions, and parmesan cheese together then pour over your sandwiches and let them sit for at least 20 minutes (or you can make these ahead of time and allow them to sit in the fridge overnight).
Place sandwiches, covered in foil, into the oven. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 15 more minutes.
Carefully cut the Tailgate Ham Sliders into individual sammiches.
