How to Achieve a Perfect Peel
After the eggs have cooked as long as you like, pour the hot water out of the pot and run very cold water into it instead. Let the eggs sit in the cold water for a few minutes. Turn the water back on and peel the eggs under the running water. This helps to sweep away any tiny shell pieces that make cling to the eggs or your fingers.
